Team Description:
We are an energetic team that is more like a family. This is our second year learning and growing together as a FLL team from the Dayton Regional STEM School. Our team consists of nine eighth and ninth graders. Our motto is “Making science fun for everyone!” We’ve enjoyed becoming closer with our senior partners this year. We are grateful we had the opportunity to interact with them. They’ve helped us grow for the better.

Brief Submission Description:
Our product was designed for seniors who have curvature in their fingers due to arthritis, and cannot extend their fingers completely to be able to use a tablet touch screen comfortably.
We call our project the AllRighty Strap. It is a strap with a stylus point built in. It is worn around the hand in whatever way is comfortable for the individual, which allows them to use the stylus tip to their best advantage. The AllRighty Strap has Velcro to make it easy for the senior to adjust it to fit their individual needs (over the whole hand or just a few fingers).
While brainstorming/designing solutions, it was discovered that this problem was bothering multiple seniors that the team knew. So as we started prototyping we had a good size pool of willing testers. With feedback from surveys the team is able to continually improve our design. We realized that others can benefit from our project (stroke patients, mobility patients), as well.
